Wytze De Haan and Lotte Litjens were married at the Vondelkerk, Amsterdam, on Saturday June 25, 2016. I had the honour of accompanying Wtyze and Lotte for their very special day and capture the magic.
As with any wedding I photograph, it’s my goal to freeze these moments in time. Something that the couple can look back on for years to come and experience the emotions time and time again. I’m fairly certain that I achieved this goal, as after sending the couple a first round of images, Wyzte got back to me via Facebook messenger, “Amazing pictures man! We just went through all of them and now I’m dealing with a wife crying her lungs out, out of happiness 🙂”
…and that’s just one of the reasons I love photographing weddings. They’re not just an event, they’re one of the events of a lifetime, and to be the guy that captures the stills is a great honour.
Ever the cool character (in fact, I heard him referred to more than a few times simply as “Suave”), if Wytze was nervous, he certainly didn’t show it. And Lotte? I’m not sure I’ve ever met a bride as excited yet calm yet excited as she was.
I wish the two of you a lifetime of happiness, and THANK YOU for having me.
